Dialectical Behavioral Skills Therapy (DBT) Group

DBT SKILLS GROUPS

What is DBT?? And why should I do this??

*DBT is about learning and practicing skills to empower you to be more effective in your life.

*The “dialectic” is about learning to accept ourselves, while seeking the changes we want in our lives.

*The skills help with improving relationship skills, dealing with strong emotions, handling small and large stresses, and becoming more effective in a variety of situations that come up in everyday life.

*Skills center around core mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

* DBT skills have been shown to help with numerous problem behaviors. See https://behavioraltech.org/research/evidence/
